District Championships

The American Taekwondo Association is holding District Championships this year on June 2 in Mesquite, TX.  Texas students will compete in the South Region which will also include Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Any student, Color Belt or Black Belt, who is listed in their state as a “State Top Ten” competitor for one or more of the 8 types of competitions is eligible to compete in the District Championships.  When the final State Top Ten points are posted on the ATA Online Website, students listed in each competition category become eligible in that category.

All registrations for competition in District Championships MUST be completed ON-LINE.  There will be ABSOLUTELY NO walk-up registrations allowed at this tournament.  Please remember that if you are attending this tournament, please be patient and encourage your student’s to display their very best Black Belt Attitude.

Students who win a District Championship title, will be able to have blue lettering on the back of their uniform jackets.  District champions will be second in line for byes in sparring competitions; World Champions will get first, District second and State third.
